So You Think You Can Dance Season 4 premiered on May 22, and along with the usual parade of losers, there are already some very strong candidates right from the blast off of the first episode. Some very strong dancers showed up, or they learned from being cut from previous seasons to apply it to SYTYCD Season 4

Returning for So You Think You Can Dance Season 4

A notable come back was Twitch who was the last guy to get cut from last season’s auditions. He got straight pass to the next round. Phillip Chbeeb also from last year made it to the next phase. If you remember, he was the sick, sick rubber arm guy. I’d like to see more of him and hopefully he learned to do more than tricks for this year’s SYTYCD Season 4.

New Dancers on So You think You Can Dance Season 4

From watching the season premiere of So You Think You Can Dance Season 4, I like these people:

Ballroom dancers Leonidas Proskurov and Aliona Vetrenko. Latin ballroom dancing is so sexy and hot! They are a great looking couple. Another great looking dancer who vaguely resembles Keira Knightly from Bend it Like Beckham due to her blonde hair and socker skills is Kherington Payne. She might not be the best dancer from SYTYCD Season 4, and compared to another gold ticket holder Devin Oshiro, she was definitely out-danced but perhaps her looks will get her far. Perhaps the most amazing dancer of the night was Robert Muraine, an insane popper. He won’t win the show but I’ll bet he gets a lot of other commercial offers to showcase his skills.

Those are my first impressions of So You Think You Can Dance 2008. I’m looking forward to seeing more talented dancers this year.
